After the federal government in Nepal presented the proposed media bill with a view of creating Nepal Media Council replacing the existing Nepal Press Council, many have expressed their dissatisfaction. Journalists in Nepal are up in arms with the new proposed law which they say will curb press freedom in Nepal. But what are the major concerns and why people should be worried about the bill if it is passed as the law? We asked a central committee member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Nakul Aryal.
