A tale of three clams produced as a digital story has won first prize for The Living Archive Digital Story Competition with the Charles Darwin University.
Din Dan Don is a story produced by children in the the Yolungu language of Djambarrpuyŋu in Galiwinku Northern Territory.
Two entries for the story came a draw for first place in the competition.
Children from the Families as First Teachers Preschool used animation and song for their entry and Ellemor year eight students from Shepherdson College performed and filmed a play to share the story of the clams.
Project manager at the Charles Darwin University Cathy Bow, says the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages in the Australian Curriculum and The Living Archive of Aboriginal Languages both offer students the opportunity to tell their stories and explore the multimedia media landscape.
