Call on all political parties in Victoria to put Aboriginal health in Aboriginal hands

The Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) has launched its Victorian election campaign which calls on all political parties to put Aboriginal Health in Aboriginal Hands.


Talking to NITV Radio, Sheree Lowe, Executive Director of VACCHO’s Social and Emotional Wellbeing unit outlined the key recommendations in terms of addressing gaps in Aboriginal health and emotional wellbeing in Victoria.

 Key focus:

  • Suicide Prevention.
  • Cultural Safety training across Victoria’s health sector
  • Social and emotional wellbeing.
