Conversation with Cassie Leatham from the Taungurung / Wurundjeri people from the Kulin Nation. An artist, master weaver, bushtucka woman and educator. She is one of only two Victorian finalists of the prestigious 2019 NATSIAA awards.
In part 2 of our conversation, Cassie discusses NAIDOC week, a time when she is fully booked out teaching cultural ways and practices around Victoria.
We caught up a day before she was due to run bushtucka workshops. That week she also facilitated weaving workshops, cleansing and healing sessions.
