James Barron, Head of Relations at Community Sector Banking, says his organisation is proud to support Indigenous students who are looking into building their own careers but also give back to their community.

James Barron, CSB's  Head Relations, is part of the Indigenous scholarship’s selection committee. He is also a member of CSB’s Reconciliation Action group.

He says that the scholarships presentation ceremony, which fell in the middle of NAIDOC week, was a celebration of dedication, excellence, persistence and resilience of some fantastic young Indigenous students.

These students shine by their drive to build strong pathways from education and vocational training.

The Indigenous Scholarship’s program is part of CSB’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

James Barron is encouraging other organisations and corporations to adopt similar strategies as they support and build strong resilient communities.
