The Victorian State Government says it will implement all of the recommendations handed down in the final report from the Royal Commission into Family Violence in Victoria

The Royal Commission was set up to improve the systems to improve, looking at particular groups who needed support.

The Royal Commission into Family Violence has addressed problems faced in Koori communites in Victoria and how the state government can work closely with the Aboriginal Justice Forum and the Indigenous Family Violence Ten Year Plan

Commissioner Marcia Neave says her work in the Royal Commission included looking at the issues of people who also use family violence as a response to their emotions.

She believes inter-generational trauma of all children who have been victim or witnessed family violence can lead them to be victims or perpetrators of family violence in the future.
