First Nations Classics reimagined for a new generation of readers

Released in the lead up to NAIDOC Week 2023, the First Nations Classics series aims to introduce some of the best First Nations writers and stories to a wider audience and a new generation of readers.


First Nations Classics comprises eight award-winning books spanning fiction, memoir, poetry and non-fiction that have been republished and recontextualised to form the first titles in the First Nations Classics series. 

Authors and contributors include Tony Birch, Larissa Behrent, Doris Pilkington AM, Tara June Winch, Jeanine Leane, Evelyn Araluen, Ellen van Neerven, Alison Whitaker, Kev Carmody and Ernie Dingo among others.
