In the context of National Reconciliation Week 2022, respected Gamilaraay chef Aunty Beryl Van -Oploo has partnered with French cuisine startup Délidoor to bring a taste of Indigenous cuisine to every home.

From the 5 meals launched in early June, at least 3 will stay on the menu for the rest of the year, and Délidoor will give back 10% of each meal sold to help fund a very important community project that Aunty Beryl is launching: EORA Aboriginal Elder’s Estate (EORA means “Home“ in Gadigal language).

The EORA development will comprise one-storey homes built around a circular plan near Parramatta in New South Wales, for elders of the Indigenous community to retire.

Aunty Beryl says, this is a unique project that she’s been harbouring for many years. Once the initial phase of the development is completed, it will offer 52 state-of-the art residences for First Nations elders.
