In a conversation with NITV Radio, Preeti Jabbal, SBS Hindi Executive producer whos is reporting from Garma 2023 confirmed that the most anticipated event of Days 1 and 2 was the arrival and intervention of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Upon his arrival the PM was greeted with a traditional welcome. On the first day of Garma, Anthony Albanese did not have much to say as the day was dedicated to the buŋgul traditional ceremony.
However, the prime minister made a big announcement on the day: a multimillion-dollar funding for a new education center in Arnhem Land.
"Garma 2023 is very well attended by people from various horizons and has attracted a very strong presence of media, government, and corporate representatives," Preeti Jabbal says.

The locals also came en masse, supported by more than 110 volunteers. "A lot of people have come together and are obviously prepared to listen and learn."
