Sophie Honess, a proud Gomeroi woman, based in Tamworth, New South Wales, has been creating textile art for the past five years as well as taking part in weaving workshops.
Sophie has been paired with Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi artist, Jonathan Jones, who will support and guide Sophie as she creates an artwork reflecting the theme 'My Country' for the exhibition.
In this interview Sophie discusses her involvement in this initiative and what it means to her.
