Selected as a Telstra Work on Paper Award finalist in the 2026 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA), Angkamuthi and Yadhaykana artist Teho Ropeyarn reawakens Ancestral narratives through monumental printmaking.
Created in collaboration with printer Theo Tremblay, his finalist work, a memorial without end … (2026), uses ink, watercolour, and vinyl-cut print to render a suspended, floating wreath.
The piece reflects the enduring weight of systemic loss and grief in First Nations communities while honouring the resilience, memory, and unbreakable continuity of Country and kin.
