Indigenous singer-songwriter recognised as 'cultural treasure'

The works of an Indigenous singer-songwriter have taken centre stage at the 19th Helpmann Awards, alongside a Sri Lankan immigrant family saga. The annual event which celebrates the country's live entertainment and performing arts industry was held for the first time in Melbourne.
