The National Indigenous Art Fair is set to return bigger than ever this year running from Friday 3rd July through to Sunday 5th July, with Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta artist Kaleena Briggs leading this year’s music program.
Held at The Cutaway, the art fair will bring together more than 30 Indigenous art centres and over 100 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across the country in a major celebration of culture, creativity and community.
As curator of the performance program, Kaleena has shaped a lineup that reflects the strength and diversity of First Nations music and storytelling, opening with performances from Mi-Kaisha, Djinama Yilaga and Mawambul.
The weekend continues with performances from Gawura Cultural Immersions, Microwave Jenny, Wagana Dancers and rising R&B artist Riah.
Now in its seventh year, the Fair continues to grow as one of the country’s leading celebrations of First Nations art and culture, with music playing a central role in bringing people together.
