Les Lipwurrunga Huddleston

Les Lipwurrunga Huddleston, a renowned multidisciplinary artist, spiritual healer, and community leader from Roper River, East Arnhem Land (Northern Territory) had 36 of his artworks exhibited in Melbourne for the first time in his 35 years career. During the exhibition Les gave cultural talks and performed healing ceremonies.

In the sidelines of the exhibition, NITV Radio caught up with Les Lipwurrunga Huddleston to learn more about his practice, his healing ceremonies and work for the community.

A talented didgeridoo maker and player, Les explained how the didgeridoo sound therapy is a traditional Aboriginal natural healing and holistic health practice that uses meditation and intention to effect positive changes in a person’s mind, body, and spirit.
