Conversation with Warrigo (Warri) Tyrell, bass guitarist of Izy (pronounced eye-zee) ahead of the band’s appearance at Stonington Sunset Sounds on January 22. Izy are described as, perhaps Far North Queensland’s first neo-soul export.

Izy have recently relocated from Far North Queensland to Naarm (Melbourne). Their music is characterised as slinky, futuristic soul with raw old-soul sensibilities.

The group will hit the stage at Sunset Sounds, Central Park Malvern East on the 22nd of January 2023 at 6 pm.

Ryo, Warrigo and Maru, each are part of musical families from different continents, connected in the distant north of Queensland; three young men who became brothers playing music together.
