For the first time in 2026, an exciting new series of public programs will accompany the Trams - Blak Art on the Move invites audiences to go deeper into the work with artist talks, workshops and public art tours offering insight into the ideas and histories behind the Trams.

Curated by Taungurung woman Kate ten Buuren, this year’s edition celebrates the power of Blak imagination and presents artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists with connections to Victoria.

The trams will be on route from Tuesday 2 June, the six new trams will hit the tracks and remain there for 12 months as a city-wide public exhibition that conveys the expansive possibilities of First Peoples futures.
