The two newly appointed co-chairs at the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples are already busy in Parliament working towards strengthening the relationship with the Federal Government.

The two newly appointed co-chairs at the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples are already busy in Parliament working towards strengthening the relationship with the Federal Government.


Jackie Huggins is one of the new Co-chairs for Congress awarded with an Order Of Australia Merit and over thirty years of experience in leadership and governance roles.

 

Jackie says it is time to restate Congress' role and continue to protect the rights of first nations people.

 

With the recent upheaval of leadership in Australia, Congress is working towards meeting to with Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull, to make sure that all the hard work from peak bodies and the Federal Government has not been lost.

 

Jackie Huggins is strong in her goals to create a brighter future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and explains why she applied for the role of Co-Chair for The National Congress of Australia's First Peoples.
