Coming up on today’s show the announcement of the winners of Australia's favourite art prize the Archibald Wynne and Sulman prizes have been announced at the Art Gallery of New South Wales last friday.
We have interviews with Michael Rose, the president of the Art Gallery New South Wales and and co-chair of Reconciliation Australia and Maud Page, Director, of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
As well as an interview with the winner of the Archibald prize, Melbourne-based artist Richard Lewer for his portrait of Pitjantjatjara Elder, senior artist and ngangkari (traditional healer) Iluwanti Ken. Lewer’s work was selected from 1034 entries for the Archibald Prize in 2026 and is one of 59 finalist works on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
