On today’s program, we pause to honour and pay our deepest respects to Aunty Rhoda Roberts AO, a proud Widjabul Wia-bal woman, cultural leader, storyteller and one of Australia’s most influential trailblazers. Aunty Rhoda passed away on Saturday 21st March at the age of 66, after a battle with cancer.

Aunty Rhoda dedicated her life to uplifting First Nations voices, ensuring our stories were told with strength, truth and integrity on our own terms. Across media, theatre, festivals and the global stage, she created powerful pathways for mob and helped reshape Australia’s cultural landscape.

Throughout this broadcast, we reflect on Aunty Rhoda's extraordinary legacy, her impact and the many lives she touched through her work and spirit.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Aunty Rhoda’s family, community and all those mourning her passing.
