South Sydney Rabbitohs, Alex Johnston was inspired to write his first ever picture book to read to his young son.

Alex wanted to write a story that incorporates themes and characters reflecting his love of footy and his First Nations and Papua New Guinea heritage,

NITV Radio chats to Alex about the process of writing this book, what its about and his plans to tell more stories in the future.

'A Footy Tail' will be released on 3rd October.
