Australia Day - should it be a day to protest ongoing injustices or celebrate an enduring culture?
Across the nation, Australians came together for ceremonies and celebrations on January 26.
But for Indigenous Australians, it poses a complex question; How can they enjoy the anniversary of something that had such a dire impact on their heritage and culture?
Some decided to commemorate the past as well as protest against current issues for Indigenous Australians through "Invasion Day". Others chose to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and traditions on "Survival Day".
