A new survey shows six in ten school students have reported witnessing racism.
Nearly 5,000 students in New South Wales and Victoria were interviewed for the study by the Australian National University and Western Sydney University.
The results suggest that more than 40 per cent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and those from ethnic minority backgrounds, had been discriminated against by their peers.
