Matthew Karakoulakis explains joint-ventures, advantages of the IPP (Indigenous Procurement Policy) as well as an unscrupulous phenomenon known as "Black Cladding".

In this episode we unpack the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP). The benefits of IPP's for Indigenous entrepreneurs as well as joint ventures.

Matthew explains that Indigenous businesses are sometimes compelled to enter into joint-venture arrangements with non-Indigenous businesses in order to take part in public tenders.

He also highlights how Indigenous joint-ventures in the context of IPPs can differ from other joint ventures.

In the last part of the conversation we discuss “Black Cladding”, a practice used by unscrupulous businesses to unduly take advantage of IPPs
