The Referendum Council wants to know what you want in the Constitution.
As the election campaign ramps up to make it to the polls in July, the wheels are in motion for the Referendum Council to handle the responses to the proposed ammendments for Constitutional Recognition.
An important topic that is being widely debated and dividing many Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Meeting in Melbourne recently, the Referendum Council have announced they will move towards collecting data on public's responses to the referendum for constitutional recognition. The final report is to be tabled in Parliament for further discussion and consultation.
Co-Chair of the Referendum Council Pat Anderson,says the council will hold meetings with the public across the country towards the end of the year.
