From April 11th to 20th, 2024, Sydney Coliseum Theatre will host the award-winning musical, "The Sunshine Club." Directed by Quandamooka man Wesley Enoch, this thought-provoking production showcases 11 talented First Nations artists alongside a dynamic 5-piece live band.

In a conversation with NITV Radio, Wesley Enoch explained that the musical is set in 1946, following Aboriginal serviceman Frank Doyle's. Returning home from WWII to unchanged racial tensions, Frank opens "The Sunshine Club," a haven for all, fostering laughter, love, and most importantly, dance - a space of unity and joy in post-war Australia.

The Sunshine Club follows the journey of Frank Doyle, an Aboriginal serviceman who has come home from war to find, that although the wider world may have changed, attitudes back home haven’t.
As the HIT productions tour brings this poignant story to audiences nationwide, Enoch emphasizes the musical's enduring relevance in fostering cultural bonds and addressing social issues.
