Without men in communities standing strong against family violence, the current crisis on violence will not change.
The Tangentyere Council run a mens behaviour program to work closely with men in the town camps of Alice springs.
As the men work on their issues and behaviour with violence in their families, the Safe Families Initiative brings both men's and women's groups together to work on the breakdown of family structures.
Program Co ordinator Maree Corbo, says the program supports men to take a leadership role in saying NO TO VIOLENCE.
The group is successfully working to address the impacts of both safety and violence in the community.
