'My Photography becomes a visual narrative where I can share and reflect on my experiences in a contemporary open gaze.'-Emerging artist Moorina Bonini.


The Tell exhibition is being held at the famous Mining Exchange in Ballarat until September 20th and will feature a showcase of 16 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist's works.

Moorina picked up a camera at the age of nine during her primary school years. Her body of works are a biographical sequence based on her own personal experiences as a young Aboriginal and Italian woman, her gift is apparent with a message of truth and conviction all while reclaiming her identity.

Moorina will be showing 6 photographic pigment pictures and 3 sculptural elements.

“I’m always questioned about my cultural identity so these pieces are answers to those questions” says Moorina.

"There is something so magical about this one moment where I could take a photo and capture a story in itself a moment in time that I can keep.'- Moorina Bonini.
