Australian sports journalist Dennis Freedman, known for his critical tweets about Indian cricket, has caught the ire of cricket fans for calling former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir a “verbal terrorist” following his comments on India's relationshbip with Pakistan.

In a recent interview to the news agency ANI, Mr Gambhir said Pakistanis should banned from not just cricket but from participating in any event or industry in India until the relationship is cemented between the two estranged neighbours.
Irked by his statement, Mr Freedman took to Twitter to slam the prolific opener who recently resigned as the captain of the Delhi Daredevils team in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.
Mr Freedman’s comments, however, did not go down well with the star cricketer’s Indian fans who spared no expense and savagely trolled the Australian blogger.
This is, however, not the first time that Mr Freedman has caught the wrath of the Indian cricket fans.

He had in the recent past called the present Indian skipper, Virat Kohli a “sweeper” in one of his tweets.
