Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann on Thursday triggered a controversy by streaming live the video of India’s parliament, which also disclosed how security apparatus operates to keep the parliament secured.

Mann gave a running commentary in the video as his vehicle crosses security check points at the entrance of parliament.

He enters a room where questions are being sorted and describes the process. A security official is heard telling him not to take photographs, but he replies: “I’ll not take photo… will maintain confidentiality.”

Mann defended his act as he faced severe criticism for his act.

“Is it illegal, inappropriate to post a video which shows the procedure of how questions are taken up in Parliament during question hour,” Bhagwant Mann said.

Remaining defiant initially, Mann questioned how his video compromised the security of the parliament. He even said he would post another video.

However, he apologised after the speaker of the lower house (Lok Sabha) of Parliament expressed her displeasure at Mann's act.

All the parties were united in demanding action against Mann for "compromising the security of parliament", which has already been once target of an armed attack costing lives of thirteen security personnel. Both houses of parliament were disrupted due to demands of a stringent action against him.

Mr Mann has now furnished an unconditional apology. "I did it unknowingly. I didn't know it will become such a big thing," he said.

However, the trouble for Mann seems to be far from over. Fellow MP Harinder Singh Khalsa who was elected on AAP ticket has said requested the Lok Sabha speaker to change his seat as Bhagwant Mann reeks of alcohol.
