Blackbuck died of natural causes, says Salman Khan

Salman Khan and a few other Bollywood actors were accused of poaching blackbucks on the night of October 1, 1998 when they were shooting for the movie “Hum Saath Saath Hain”.
Salman Khan appeared in Jodhpur court on Friday to record his statement in court. Times of India reported him saying,

“Only the first forensic report of Dr Nepalia saying that the animal died of “natural causes” was true and the rest of the evidence is false.”

He was also asked around 60 questions by the Jodhpur magistrate, to most of which he replied “galat”.

When asked by the magistrate,” You were seen by two people who said they saw you shoot the blackbuck,”, he replied, “galat”.

The court also said that the jeep was found with blood and hair of the blackbucks to which too, Salman replied with one word, “galat”.

Salman Khna was also accused of carrying and using fire arms without a valid licence. A case was registered against him under the Arms Act. However, on January 18th this year, he was acquitted of all charges by the Jodhpur court in the Arms Act case.

The next date for his hearing in blackbuck poaching case is on February 15th.
