Canada's Immigration website crashes as Trump nears victory

People have been joking about moving to other countries depending on America's election result. But, it looks like, they were not joking after all!

News.com.au has reported that shortly after 3 pm today, Canada’s immigration website crashed!

Although people seem to be panicking about the election results in America, they havnt lost their sense of humor with one person tweeting “Did Americans crash the Canadian immigration website, or did Canada just put up an immigration "wall" to protect its borders?”

But it’s not just Canada that people want to move to. Apparently Google trends show that “Move to Australia” and “Move to New Zealand” have risen over the past few hours.

Enquiries for Australia are coming from Colorado, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia. For New Zealand, most searches are originating in Oregon, Colorado, Washington, Missouri and Virginia.

Donald Trump has crept ahead in the race to become the President of United States of America in the past few hours. Trump has performed significantly better than his predecessors among whites without college degrees.

He is on 254 to 215 electoral votes and is now just ahead in Pennsylvania, which the Democratic candidate desperately needs to win to have any chance of staying in the race.
