Tell us the story of a woman in your life who may think she is ordinary, but has achieved the extraordinary; who has braved the odds and is an inspiration.
Every year on International Women’s Day, we come across news stories about women with stellar achievements: award winners, go-getters or women with awe-inspiring feats under their belt.
While such women deserve all the applause and admiration they can get, it is easy to overlook the rather unsung women in our lives.
So to mark International Womens Day on March 8, we at SBS Punjabi have decided to celebrate the extraordinary “ordinary women” in our lives: mothers, sisters, wives, friends, colleagues, who toil in whichever way they can, to make our lives tick. And often, rather mostly, without any reward, even appreciation.
Please share with us the joy and comfort you get from that superwoman in your life. Tell us which impossible mountain has she climbed, how she has made a positive difference in your life, how she has helped you achieve your goal, or if she has helped someone who can’t or won’t even know.
Send us your suggestions with the contact details your superwoman so that we can interview you or her on SBS Punjabi. You can email us at: punjabi.program@sbs.com.au
