Classes cancelled following large fire in Melbourne school

Emergency crews were called in after a large fire was reported in a building of a middle school campus in Melbourne.

A large fire erupted in a school building in Glen Waverly on Wednesday morning forcing the school to cancel the classes for the day.

Emergency workers swung into action and managed to contain the fire that was reported after 5:15 am. The fire started inside the building known as 'The Atrium' at the middle school campus.

7News has reported that the resident heard a number of loud explosions and as many as 25 fire trucks were at the scene.
