Gurbaksh Chahal, 34 had pleaded guilty to the charges of battery and domestic violence battery in 2014. A surveillance footage from Chahal’s San Francisco house had shown him kicking and punching his girlfriend and also trying to smother her with a pillow. Chahal had entered a plea to reduce his charges after the girl did not cooperate with authorities and it was said that the video could not be used as it was not obtained in a proper manner.
