Here is why film star Mandy Takhar is a real star

Mandy Takhar is helping a charity, Khalsa Aid that serves the Yazidi refugees in Kurdistan region of Iraq.

This Punjabi film star is doing what others from her industry dread even thinking about.

Born and brought up in the UK, Mandy Takhar has done several films in the Indian film industry, including Hindi and Tamil.

But do you know where she is these days? Many would assume, being a film star, she would be enjoying the luxuries of a privileged life. But, Mandy is spending time with refugees in Northern Iraq.

With Khalsa Aid, she is helping Yazidi children in refugee camps in the Kurdistan region. Watch her video playing with a little Yazidi girl.

Mandy is giving a hand to UK based charity Khalsa Aid, headed by Ravinder Singh, in Iraq which is proving food, water and medicines to over a thousand families in Kurdistan region.
