Ahead of India's semi-final clash against West Indies, Chris Gayle has said he hopes Virat Kohli doesn's score runs in the match. He added that even if Virat fires, it will be for a losing cause. 

"I have said over the years that he is going to be a world beater he is today and hopefully he doesn't get any runs on the match day."

"But if he still gets runs, it should in a losing cause," Gayle told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.
However, Gayle praised Kohli's 82-runs innings against Australia.

Gayle admitted that it would not be easy to beat the hosts as India had gained tremendous confidence heading into the semi-final.

West Indies had a tremendous run in the T20 World Cup beating big teams such as South Africa, England and Sri Lanka. However, in the last group stage match, Afghanistan upset the Windies' applecart.
In the meanwhile, buoyed by Virat Kohli's recent performances, Indian fans had a field day on twitter.
