Cricket is a team sport. But it was all about just one man for India at Mohali. Virat Kohli.

The right-handed batsman single-handedly steered India to victory in a high-pressure game while the equation was getting tougher with every single ball bowled, winning him the much-deserved adulation from Sachin Tendulkar and former Aussie spin legend, Shane Warne
Kohli scored a brilliant 82 from 51 balls taking India to the semi-final of T20 world cup, guiding India beat Australia by six wickets. He was given the man-of-the-match award for his scintillating performance.

At one stage, required rate soared to 13 runs per over with India needing 39 off 18 balls to win. Kohli swiftly shifted the gears and smacked back-to-back boundaries and a six, scoring 19 runs in James Faulkner’s over. India, in the end, managed to score the winning total of 161 with five balls remaining.

Virat played with a lot of patience while batting with Yuvraj Singh who sprained his ankle on the crease while paying a short ball. But once Yuvraj was out and Dhoni came out to bat, Virat began shifting gears and accelerate.

India seemed to be in some real trouble at one stage after it lost both the openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina in quick succession.  But Kohli yet again proved why he has earned the reputation of being the king of run chases.
Earlier, Australia opted to bat first after winning the toss and put up a total of 160. Australian openers, Usman Khawaja and Arron Finch got the team off to a great start, notching up 50 in under four overs. But, the Australian innings lost pace as wickets began to fall.

India now play West Indies in the first semi-final at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on March 31.
