Invest in India roundtable held in Melbourne

During his recent visit to Melbourne, Hon Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister of India, chaired the 'Invest in India" Roundtable.

 The purpose of the roundtable was to discuss opportunities for, and barriers to, institutional investment in India. 

 It enabled representatives of the Australian superannuation industry and institutional investors to have an information exchange with an Indian delegation assembled by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and senior Indian Government officials.

Mr Jaitley was joined by many eminent political and business leaders, including:

• Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP, Minister for Small Businesses and Assistant Treasurer, Australia
• Moderator: Hon. Peter Costello AC, Chairman, Future Fund, Australia
• Welcome remarks by His  Excellency Mr Navdeep Suri, High Commissioner of India to Australia
