An Islamic State fighter executed his mother in public in Syrian city of Al-Raqqa on Wednesday for asking him to leave ISIS, a Syria based human rights group has reported.
They Syrian Obervatory for Human Rights reported that the woman in her 40s had encouraged the man to leave the group, telling him that the America backed coalition would wipe out the ISIS.
According to some reports, the woman was detained after her son informed IS about her comments.
The 20 year old IS fighter executed his mother in front of hundreds of people near the post office building of the city of Al-Raqqa where she was employed.
The obervatory reported that the woman was killed on the pretext of “inciting her son to leave the Islamic state and escaping together to the outside of Al-Raqqah, and that the Coalition will kill all members of the organization”.
According to reports, the group has so far killed hundres of Syrians accusing them of working with its enemies.
