The film is said to impart religious message and will be released sometime in 2017.

This movie is based on a real-life drama involving around 376 South Asian ocean passengers out of which 24 were Muslims, 340 were Sikhs and 12 were Hindus. All of them were on board a Japanese steamship called Kamagata Maru chartered by Malaysian Sikh businessman Gurdit Singh. These passengers were denied entry into Canada in 1914.
