The core strength of Let’s Feed campaign is that whilst it is run by Sikh and Hindu communities, but it benefits wider Australian community members who are needy and disadvantaged.

“Let’s Feed was founded with an aim to fill gaps in existing services and work with organisations that are active in social work,” said Jasvinder Sidhu who is one of the campaign founder members.

Mr Sidhu has shared his optimism with the way this concept is adapted by the wider Australian communities.

“We work with half a dozen other similar organisations as well especially filling food gaps. Our other main projects are breakfast clubs in around 9 schools in Wyndham and 20 in total across Victoria and food donation.

“We have donated over 20 tonnes of food and also collected over 5,000 items of clothes donated to Avalon Centre, Melbourne.”
“With an aim to raise awareness about the issue of youth homelessness in Wyndham, Melbourne, we joined hands with Whitelion.”

“We started with offering curries and other food items cooked by Indian seniors at Tarneit Gurudwara (Sikh temple).”

Mr Sidhu mentioned that the campaign commenced after witnessing Whitelion’s outreach and support programs in Wyndham.

"We have noticed a growing need for dedicated housing support for young people in the Wyndham region. We wanted to raise awareness of this gap as well as funds to support work in this space.”

“We have also assisted Whitelion with whitegoods and target campaigns such as running blankets donation and toiletries donation.”
“We have been part of a number of events to collect over $16,000 for this project.”
“We are really thankful to everyone who supported the campaign and got involved.”
