Victoria Police officers have appealed for help to identify a man who was found unconscious in Melbourne’s west in early hours of Monday.
Police say the man who is perceived to be Indian in appearance and about 30 years of age was found by a passer-by in Tarneit at around 2:55 am on Monday.
An ambulance was called to attend to the man and he was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Police say the circumstances of how the man became unconscious are unclear and officers from Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the matter. However, it’s not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
The man is 170cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black jumper, dark grey t-shirt and red, white and blue board shorts with no shoes.
He was also wearing distinctive necklaces with pendants.

Police have urged anyone who may recognise him to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report.
