Two women boarded the light rail at Central Station in Sydney at around 9 am on February 11, 2019.
The duo was standing near the entry door when one of them felt something touching her from behind.
When she turned, she saw a man standing in close proximity, allegedly committing an act of indecency, the police said.
The woman immediately confronted the said man and he stepped off the rail when it stopped at Paddy’s Market.
She also informed the police.

Sydney detectives are appealing for help to locate the man who is described as being about 30 years old, and of Indian subcontinental appearance.
He is about 170 cm tall, of a slim build with dark hair.
He was wearing black pants and a dark grey shirt and was carrying a backpack over his shoulder at the time of the incident.
