Victoria Police is investigating a mobile phone theft in Southbank in Melbourne on July 5. A selfie could prove to be a vital clue in tracking down the offender in the case.
According to the police, the man accessed the Facebook page of the owner of the mobile phone and posted his selfie with an unknown woman on the victim’s Facebook page.
The police have released the images of the people involved.

According to the police, an unknown man approached the reception area of an apartment complex on Haig Street, Southbank at about 1.29 PM on July 5.
Whilst the concierge was distracted, the man reportedly stole a mobile phone which had been left on the counter and quickly fled the building.

According to the police, he used the stolen phone to access the victim’s Facebook page and posted his image with an unknown woman.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is said to be in his 20s and was wearing a camouflage cap, a black jacket, three-quarter length pants and black and white shoes.
