Melbourne's Victoria University Celebrates Diwali

The newly formed Indian Club at Victoria University, Melbourne brought the magical journey of Indian culture and tradition of Diwali with more than 100 people attending this annual event.

For the first time in its 100 years’ history, Melbourne's Victoria University (VU) celebrated Diwali, the festival of light.

“It was an amazing display of culture and tradition. It was for the 1st time in VU’s history, which was indeed a proud moment for all the Indian student. The attendees just loved it,” said Sahil Puri from VU Indian Club.

“The festival was highly anticipated and enjoyed by people from different cultures who came to learn the significance of Diwali in Indian culture.” 

“Towards the end of the function, Punjabi culture came back to life again in VU with the rocking bhangra performance at this gala event.”
