32-year-old Preethi Reddy was reported missing after she failed to come home from a dental convention at St Leonards on Sunday. Police issued an appeal for public assistance and circulated images of the Penrith dentist and her vehicle.
The police found her body stuffed in a suitcase left in her grey Volkswagen Golf on Tuesday night. The gruesome discovery was made in the Kingsford area of Sydney.
"Following an appeal for information to the community, Preethi’s vehicle was located parked on Strachan Street, Kingsford, about 9.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 March 2019).
"During a search of the vehicle, police located Preethi’s body in a suitcase. She had been stabbed numerous times," the NSW Police said in a statement.
Ms Reddy was last seen at a McDonald's on Sunday and reportedly used her phone at 11:06 on Sunday morning.

Police say Ms Reddy stayed at a hotel on Market Street, Sydney CBD on Sunday with a man known to her.
Investigators have since revealed that the man "died in a head-on collision on the New England Highway, Willow Tree, about 10pm on Monday (5 March 2019)".
SBS News is reporting that Dr Reddy's ex-boyfriend was reportedly being considered the key suspect in her murder.

Police are investigating the case and investigators have urged anyone with information to come forward.
