Victoria police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing woman of Indian-origin.

The 32-year-old was last seen in the south-eastern suburb of Lyndhurst in Melbourne at about 7.30am on December 11th.

She has a slim build and has three birds tattooed on the inside of her left forearm.

In the picture being circulated by the police, it appears that she is also wearing the ceremonial red and white bangles or choora generally worn by newly-wedded women in the Indian culture.

Police have released her image in the hope that someone can provide information on her current whereabouts.

Anyone who sees her is urged to contact Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 0600.

Please note: She has now been found.
