In early 2011, a small group of Punjabi families from New Zealand and Australia got together and formed New Zealand Australia Punjabi Cultural Association.
What started out as an informal network drawn together by common interest and a shared love of culture, has grown to a vibrant association committed to sharing and celebrating our cultural heritage through cultural exchange and active community participation.
A commitment to promoting multiculturalism and fostering a strong sense of community among Punjabi families living in New Zealand and Australia are the main goals of NZAUSPCA, and are embodied in NZAUSPCA's philosophy.
NZAUSPCA has recently celebrated its 6th Annual Dinner Event 'Sanjh Punjab Dee', which was attended by more than 600 people.
NZAUPCA is also helping Victoria’s sickest babies thanks to a generous $50,000 donation raised so far for Royal Children Hospital, Melbourne.
Raised during their annual dinner, this wonderful donation has previously helped sponsor cots in the RCH Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

24 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਊਜੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟੇ੍ਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸ਼ੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 6ਵਾ ਸਾਂਝ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜਸਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਭੱਗ 600 ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਜੋਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਬੱਤਰਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਗੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਿੱਧੇ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਆਰੀਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਸਿਖਾਈਆ ਗਈਆਂ ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਬਲਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਜੌਹਰ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ੂਬ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ।
ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵਾ ਰੌਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਈ ਚੰਦਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਕੁੱਲ $19375 ਰੌਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਨਿਊਜੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟੇ੍ਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸ਼ੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੌਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕੁੱਲ ਰਕਮ $49750 ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਰੌਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੀ ਫਾਉਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਡੋਨਾ ਆਇਰਾਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
