Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale escapes murderous attack

Baba Ranjit Singh (Dhadrian Wale) on Tuesday was attacked by unidentified men while he was on his way to Isewal village in Ludhiana. Unidentified gunmen opened fire at Sikh preacher’s cavalcade, leaving his follower Bhupinder Singh ‘Khasi Kalan’ dead. Dhadrianwale said he ducked for cover as his driver speeded away.

Sikh preacher Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale was attacked by unidentified persons late in the evening near Barewal village. One of his followers who was travelling with him in a Land Cruiser, was shot dead.

Police said Dhadrianwale and his aides were heading to attend a congregation at Isewal village in three cars when they were attacked.

According to HT/Tribune News the attackers fired 50 shots. Dhadrianwale’s SUV was badly damaged.
“The tyres of our vehicles burst, we alighted and run toward the fields where some labourers gave us shelter,” said Dhadrianwale. He denied he had blamed any group for the attack. “I don’t know who the attackers were. The police must trace them.”
ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਇਕ ਗੱਡੀ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤਕ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ।
