Inderpreet Singh Chadha, the son of former president of charitable-cum-educational body Chief Khalsa Diwan (CDK) Charanjit Singh Chadha, today committed suicide here, police said.

He was rushed to a private hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, tribune reported

Inderpreet was the vice-president of the renowned charitable Sikh organization the CDK.

Chadhas were expelled from the CDK after being booked in a sexual harassment case.

Chadha’s death has ignited a debate on social media. Some say his death was the direct consequence of the insult he was facing after a video went viral on social media.
Police had registered a case against the father-son duo after a video went viral on social media on December 26, 2017.

The video showed Chadha allegedly making sexual advances towards a woman who later filed a formal complaint.

The principal had accused Chadha of “compelling her to have physical relations”. “When I refused, he threatened me,” the woman told Police.
